CJSD (TMT) — The Story Behind the Music
Carreaon Johnson, founder of TMT4L and professionally known as CJSD, is an artist from East and South Nashville who uses music to share his life, struggles, losses, and experiences.
Born in January 2000s, began making music at 13 under the name CJSD, inspired by artists like Nas and Speaker Knockerz. Growing up with his mother and grandmother while also spending time with his father, he was shaped by his community and the realities of drugs, gun violence, incarceration, and loss.
After his sister, Treyonta Burleson, was shot at 14 while CJSD was 15, he began using the name TMT, meaning Trey Mafia Tuff, in her honor. TMT became a tribute to his sister, their bond, and the strength he carried through the experience. TMT4L represents his lasting love and loyalty to her.
His music, which he calls “vibe music,” focuses on emotion, real-life experiences, and stories listeners can relate to. Through TMT4L, tmtcjsd continues working with Nashville artists such as Lo$ Latale, Lil Nxcc, FMJ Jojo, Jay Goon, 2Foekd while honoring his sister, his community, and the people who have influenced his life.
