Who are you?
Through my songs, I like to proclaim who He is, what He has done, and what He will do in the future. In short, I want my songs to give Glory to Him. I love big arrangements, and tend to create big orchestral-symphonic pieces. I have drawn a lot of inspiration from Neal Morse and his music. I believe listening to his music (and especially his concept albums) inspired me to make my concept album.
I work with different people on different projects. Sometimes I record everything myself, but I find it enjoyable to collaborate with other musicians. On my latest project (The preacher the prophecy and the fire) I collaborated with Daniel Hörnberg, who was the lead singer on the songs and who also wrote choir-arrangements among other things.
Where are you from?
I have made music since I was around 11 years old. I always dreamt about making music in a studio, and played in a Christian punk band called “SOS” as a young kid. I write many kinds of music. Sometimes purely instrumental songs in the style of “Scandinavian folk music”, sometimes jazz-fusion. But lately I have made music in the genre of progressive-rock.
The last ten years or so, I have had my main focus on making music centered around my faith in Jesus Christ. After being led by God to live in Norway, I found myself in a warm Christian fellowship with focus on creativity. This was on the YWAM-base in Ålesund, specifically in the AiD program led by my good friend Jonny Westwood.
