Artist Name: qwik
Who are you?
Honestly, at its core, I make music for myself—not for listeners or labels. That said, it's genuinely humbling and inspiring to see how my work resonates with people. That connection is what drives me to push harder on every track. Just imagine what happens when my name truly breaks through. I would describe myself as versatile, charismatic, very blunt, and poetic even. Smart. Gotta be smart. Remember when rap and hip hop had real meaning, and real depth to the lyrics? Ya me too. That's my music.
Where are you from?
Phoenix, AZ. The local music scene has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, artists don't really support one another, and I don't think any single rapper's image has truly captured the community. The last people who come to mind as having done that are Willy Northpole and Futuristic. Shout out DJ Tru, Sal (producer), Mathew Rodgerson, my friends and family who shown non-stop encouragement and support. And all those in between that I missed – because seriously.. there's a lot and I couldn't have come this far without em. Now it's for them and for my family that I'm determined to push on.
How can we follow you?
I’m currently focusing on Instagram (@itsqwik), BandLab (@realqwik), Spotify, and other platforms, but I’m not yet on YouTube. I’ve been struggling with video production and brainstorming ways to overcome this challenge—it’s just one of those ugly truths.
In the meantime, check out my track. It’s raw and will have ur head bobbing in seconds.
