Who are you?
I just try to be creative and let all the weird feelings and thoughts that I have pour out, not really sure the best way to word it I guess. I just make the type of music I like to listen to, which I guess is pretty trashy and niche but I think it's important to always be genuine with whatever art you are making. I listen to a lot of different music and I try to take inspiration from all of the media that I consume. Recently, Jane Remover has been a big inspiration as well as elwood and Kikuo.
Where are you from?
I'm from Columbia, South Carolina where there is a music scene, just not one I want to be involved with anymore. I grew up in the hardcore scene here from a very young age and I met some of my bestfriends, including one I still make music with (Beangod), however I was young and impressionable and fell into the trap of everything being a cool guy contest. Everyone constantly trying so hard to convince everyone that they are important or cooler than you. It's so funny to look back at now and see it differently, and obviously there was a lot more rough spots than that, lot's of hypocrisy but there's no reason for me to get into all that. I wish there was more of an experimental scene here, I wish people were not so close minded, but I guess that's just the way it is. Regardless, I'm gonna keep doing me and collaborating with the people I like through my computer.
I've learned not to expect anything from the people you have supported on artistic endeavors in the past because they really don't care, they just want those extra likes or shares. Sometimes everything feels so disassociated from the actual music itself, but that's just the age that we live in.
