Who are you?
We are instrumentalists. We would sing if we could but all our voices are pretty bad. We are a group of four friends who each bring something unique to the group. Jack, our percussionist, listens to classic rock from the 60’s and 70’s. Kenny plays piano and does backing vocals and samples. He listens to Rap and R&B, and brings the “soul” to our music. Oafi does Bass and Co-Production, he likes unique music that involves Arps and polyrhythms, and adds that unique flair to our sound. Lastly we have Daniel. Daniel is the most experienced in music, as he made solo stuff before Fart Gang formed. Daniel is great at synths and Co-Produces with Oafi. He listens to a lot of stuff, Indie Rock, New Wave, Electro, Funk. And he blends them together with some great synth sounds.
We are all from different backgrounds, Jack and Daniel are white, Oafi is brown, Kenny is black, but we love each other like brothers and use our experiences to make unique electronic music.
Where are you from?
We are based out of Atlanta, Ga. The music scene is very diverse. Obviously hip hop and rap have a huge presence here as names like OutKast, TI, and Lil Nas X hail from the ATL. Rock and Alternate are also popular here as well. Big names such as R.E.M. were started in the state of Georgia. Georgia, like the southeastern United States is a hotbed for country music as well.
